Fundamentals & Applications of Sustainable
Hydrometallurgical Processing Techniques & Concepts (1.5 days- Aug. 22-23)

In conjunction with the Lucy Rosato Memorial Symposium on Sustainable Hydrometallurgical Processing, a short course is offered to professionals and students with an interest in hydrometallurgy. In our 1½ day short course, a broad range of topics will be covered ranging from fundamental concepts such as mass and energy balances in hydrometallurgical applications and selective leaching technologies to the introduction of sustainable novel technologies such as ion exchange and biosorption. This course will promote the exchange among hydrometallurgists and will allow for interaction with the speakers to discuss the material presented. The course will be held before the conference from Au-gust 22 to August 23, 2015 at The Fairmont Royal York Hotel, Toronto, Canada. Since the lecture material will be shared electronically with participants and some presenters will have interactive materials/practice examples, every participant is strongly encouraged to bring his/her laptop computer.

This includes the course materials, which are provided electronically, a lunch on both days as well as coffee breaks and a final participation certificate.

The lecturers’ panel consists of distinguished hydrometallurgical professionals from industry and academia. Each lecturer is an expert in his field with many years experience.
